It's interesting that they remind me of your other seamless work - the cut off arms - I think it's because of your lighting. MLewis once told us that for food photography, people in the industry use lots of lights and soft ones~
I can dig the suburbs miniseries. I loooove the desaturated honey dijon yellow color of the hose mixed with your radiating lights and shadows. It reminds me of alien sightings in rural areas. The mystery is creepy enough to make me think crime scene, especially the last one you can see a humans shadow on the fence!
But I would really really like to see you try this with young school age people, and older people. It might be cool to experiment with what age does to the context, power, and presence of the photograph.
